From Jeff Eastin, the writer of "True Lies 2" and "Rush Hour 3," comes "Hawaii," one of the season's most anticipated dramas. This sexy, action-packed drama set in the island paradise of Oahu follows the exploits of Honolulu's Metro Police Department as they solve crimes that could only happen in this exotic locale, using methods unique to Hawaii.
Action star Michael Biehn ("The Rock," "Aliens," "The Terminator") stars as Sean Harrison, a legendary detective on the force who's teamed with island newcomer John Declan (Sharif Atkins, "ER"), a detective who recently arrived from Chicago. Declan is smart and impulsive but can't swim, a skill that comes in handy when fighting crime on an island.
Rounding out the cast of cool cops is Ivan Sergei ("Crossing Jordan," "Jack & Jill") as Detective Danny Edwards, Eric Balfour ("Six Feet Under," "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre") as his partner and island native, Christopher Gains. The cast also includes newcomers Aya Sumika, as sexy Officer Linh, and Peter Navy Tuiasosopo, as her jovial Samoan partner, Officer Kaleo, as well as veteran Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa ("The Last Emperor," "Snow Falling on Cedars") as the stern but fair Captain Terry Harada.
Eastin, the creator and executive producer of "Hawaii" is joined by co-executive producers Reed Steiner ("The Shield," "Line of Fire," "The District") and Chris Black ("Enterprise," "Sliders"), supervising producer Terri Kopp ("Third Watch," "Law & Order") and producer Wendy West ("Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "The Practice") for this new drama from NBC Universal Television Studio.
